Extrusion
Elastollan products can be successfully used in the extrusion process to make various forms such as hoses, tubes, cables, belts, films, sheets and more.
During extrusion, Elastollan pellets are fed from a top hopper into the barrel of the extruder. Next, a rotating screw moves the pellets forward into heated barrel zones. Here, the extrusion temperature profile is properly adjusted based on the type of products used and their hardness. Following this, the melted Elastollan is pushed through the screen pack/breaker plate, and then the die, to form a specific profile shape.
