BASF has conducted an Eco-Efficiency Analysis which indicates that windows with Thermoplastic Spacers (TPS) are better for the environment than competitive technologies. How?

• Windows with TPS technology provide superior insulation properties and protection against argon gas leakage, helping increase energy efficiency for homes for many years.
• Insulated glass with TPS is 100% recyclable.
• TPS can contribute to points to LEED certification in the categories of energy and atmosphere Credit 1 (Optimize Energy Performance), indoor environmental quality Credit 4.1 (Low Emitting Materials: Adhesives & Sealants), and Innovation in Design.

Energy Star® requirements for windows will have stricter performance levels for windows by 2012. You can get a head start towards meeting these more stringent regulations.
