Available in Ruby and Blue Topaz, these goniochromatic materials represent the latest advance in borosilicate pigment technology. Firemist Colormotion pigments appear to be one color, but with changes in the viewing angle, suddenly move across the color spectrum. They can be used for coating and plastic formulations, including injection molded, blow molded and co-extruded plastics.
In addition to their exceptionally high visual impact, Firemist Colormotion pigments are specially formulated to achieve better effects in chroma, color purity, brightness, transparency and reflectivity than traditional pearlescent pigments. This gives designers and formulators a spectrum of advanced optical effects to help make products and packaging more appealing.
The platelet of borosilicate is thin enough to allow its use in low film build liquids coating, while the particle size is large enough to create a sparkle effect in high film build applications. Firemist Colormotion's transparent particles provide clean colors in clear polymers and bold color shifts in colored or darkened polymers.
