NSF International, an independent, not-for-profit organization committed to improving and protecting public health and the environment, has validated the verification of BASF’s Eco-Efficiency Analysis of its Joncryl water-based technology for the printing and packaging industry.
-
At BASF, we embrace sustainable development and the Eco-Efficiency Analysis is a valuable tool for end-users to help them make informed decisions about their raw material selections. We continue to develop eco-efficient Joncryl resin products that result in long-term value for our customers and their customers.
-
The Joncryl product analysis involved production, use, and disposal of 1000 m2 of 3 mil. flexographic printed LDPE film with 25% image coverage. The results show that the water-based ink system had a lower overall impact and lower life-cycle cost.
