Greener turf – high performance

The maintenance equipment used to care for golf courses can also pose one of the greatest threats to their appearance and the quality of the greens. Leaking hydraulic fluid - used to lubricate the machinery - can burn grass and potentially harm the environment.

Plurasafe EnBio TCS is a new, high-performance hydraulic fluid product that does not harm grass when leaks occur when washed properly with water. It offers excellent lubricity and wear properties. It is biodegradable and has low toxicity in its virgin state.

Why choose Plurasafe EnBio TCS?

There is a direct cost associated with hydraulic oil spills. BASF can help you save money by avoiding the damage caused by leaks of conventional mineral or vegetable oils that require digging up and re-sodding turf.

Plurasafe offers the potential to extend change out intervals. This lowers lubricant cost, reduces the need for disposal of used lubricant, and lowers equipment down time associated with changing lubricant, as well as lower maintenance costs from using a high performance product.

In tests conducted by BASF and industry experts, Plurasafe EnBio TCS demonstrates outstanding anti-wear and corrosion performance. Plurasafe EnBio TCS fluid has a high viscosity index and a low pour point that eliminates the need for seasonal fluid changes. It also has a higher flash and fire point than typical petroleum based fluids.

BASF has conducted extensive trials on golf courses to verify that spills do not kill or burn a variety of grasses including Bermuda, Bent, Crenshaw, TiffEagle, Paspalm, Poa, Rye and Kikuyu. No detrimental impact was found even when HOT (~140ºF/60ºC) Plurasafe EnBio TCS fluid is spilled onto these grasses and washed with water in accordance with instructions.
