PLURASAFE® E Series Polyethylene Glycols

Members of the PLURASAFE® series fluids are used in metal polishing and cleaning formulations, rubber products, textile processing, thickeners, lubricants, mold release agents and defoaming agents.

The product below 600 molecular weight are completely water soluble in all proportions.

Like glycols, the PLURASAFE® E series are good cleaning and heat transfer fluids.

In general, specific gravity, flash point, melting range and viscosity increase with increasing molecular weight, while solubility, vapor pressure and hygroscopicity decrease.

PLURASAFE® D Series Polypropylene Glycols

The D Series polypropylene glycols are near colorless, somewhat viscous liquids. Polypropylene glycols as compared with equivalent molecular weight polyethylene glycols are more hydrophobic.(Lower water solubility and hygroscopicity), have considerably lower pour points and show greater solvency toward organic compounds. Their uses include rubber processing and brake fluid formulations.

PLURASAFE® T Series Polypropylene Glycols

The PLURASAFE® T series polypropylene glycols are nearly colorless triol polyethers miscible in all proportions with organic aromatic compounds, halogenated hydrocarbons, alcohols, aldehydes and acids. Their uses include rubber lubricants, hydraulic fluids, defoamers, ink and polishes.
