Where to use - Precast concrete
Many precast, prestressed concrete structures, such as bridges and parking ramps, must survive the constant onslaught of harsh environmental conditions, freeze-thaw cycles and deicing salts. MetaMax® can help precast members resist premature deterioration. By making concrete less porous, water and corrosive chemicals are retarded from entering concrete and doing their damage.
In architectural precast panels, MetaMax improves color matching and helps brighten concrete to produce more vivid colors. And by controling effloresence, MetaMax helps the panels stay looking brand new, longer.
Precasters also appreciate the higher early strength development made possible with high reactivity metakaolin. This shortens the time until a precast element can be removed from its mold and increases the precaster’s productivity.
