BASF to increase prices for coating binders sold into the U.S., Canada and Mexico paper markets

CHARLOTTE, NC, May 16, 2011 – Effective June 1, 2011, or as

contracts allow, BASF will increase its prices by $0.10 per wet lb. for coating binders sold into the paper and paperboard markets in the United States, Canada and Mexico. This includes its Styronal®, Acronal® and Basonal® coating binder products.

The price adjustments are necessary due to significantly increased raw material costs.
