BASF supports science education at Cassville Elementary School, Sparta, Tennessee

SPARTA, TN, March 5, 2010 - For the past eleven-years, BASF has been a contributor to local Cassville Elementary School’s science education programs and recently donated $500 for the sponsorship of the school’s science fair. All students who participated in the fair were recognized with participation ribbons and top awards were presented for first, second, and third place, as well as best show.

“We’re proud to sponsor this program and to work with Cassville Elementary School to help enrich science education curriculum for students,” said Jerry Bishop, BASF Manager, Maintenance and Plant Services, Sparta, TN. “It is our way of celebrating with our neighbors our pride in the value of chemistry. It is also a continuation of our company-wide commitment to science education and the future development of chemists, researchers and engineers of tomorrow.”

Bishop served as one of the judges for the competition.
