ANAHEIM, CA, March 4, 2010 – Today BASF will present information about two new innovations to help growers get the most out every acre.
In two mini “What is New” (miniWIN) presentations, BASF Technical Market Managers Nick Fassler will share information about Headline AMP™ fungicide, and Dan Westberg, Ph.D. will present Kixor® herbicide technology.
For recognized leaders in corn yields who seek additional assurance, Headline AMP™ is the combination of disease control and Plant Health fungicide that combines the proven power of pyraclostrobin with a unique triazole, providing maximum disease protection and yields.
In 29 replicated university and seed company trials over the past three years, Headline AMP outperformed all competitive products, delivering maximum protection and netting more than 11 bu/A yield increase compared to untreated checks.
“Corn growers looking for a combination fungicide that provides excellent disease control and Plant Health benefits should definitely be pleased with Headline AMP,” Fassler said.
Kixor herbicide technology is a unique chemistry designed to control more than 70 of the toughest broadleaf weeds facing growers today including those resistant to the ALS inhibitors, the triazines, and glyphosate. Providing fast, complete burndown and residual activity in a wide range of crops, Kixor is one of the most flexible and versatile herbicide technologies on the market today.
“Weed control products are necessary to help ensure success for growers in a challenging economy,” Westberg said. “We at BASF are pleased to be able to help growers get the most out of every acre with new, innovative solutions like Kixor herbicide technology.”
