BASF products receive Volvo approval

SOUTHFIELD, MI, December 17, 2008 – BASF Automotive Refinish today announced that Swedish automaker Volvo has once again approved BASF as a preferred supplier of automotive refinish products, joining the many OEMs around the world that recognize the high quality and performance of both the Glasurit® and R-M® systems.

Approval by the company required passing a number of rigorous tests at Volvo Cars’ Surface Treatment Center, where scientists verified that the finishes met Volvo’s strict internal standards.

“We take great pride in knowing that Volvo has named BASF a preferred supplier for our Glasurit and R-M products,” said Joe Skurka, Manager of OEM & Industry Relations for BASF Refinish. “We have a long-standing history as an approved supplier for the company and look forward to continuing it for many years to come.”
