BASF introduces new Paliotol™
MOUNT OLIVE, N.J., November 30, 2000 - BASF today introduced a new yellow in
its Paliotol!" pigment line: Paliotol Yellow K 1700, which is a modified
PY 183. This grade is cleaner, stronger and greener than the standard PY 183.
Complementing the BASF line of organic yellow pigments, Paliotol Yellow K 1700
pigment also maintains all of the same physical properties as Paliotol Yellow
K 2270 and may be used in the same plastics applications. It is greener than
the Paliotol Yellow K 2270 and K 184, but redder than the Paliotol Yellow K
0961 and PY 191.
Paliotol Yellow K 1700 is an excellent
addition to BASF's offerings of yellow pigments with excellent transparency.
This new product gives a yellow that falls between the red and green shades,
giving color matchers more options.
Paliotol Yellow K 1700 is believed
to be suitable for low- and high-density polyethylene (LDPE, HDPE), polypropylene
(PP), polyvinylchloride (PVC), polystyrene (PS), acrylonitrile/butadiene/ styrene
(ABS) and polycarbonate. In masstone, Paliotol Yellow K 1700 is much greener
and transparent than conventional PY 183 pigments.
