Headline® and Cabrio EG fungicides
will set the standard for disease control in a variety of crops
ranging from citrus to sugar beets.
Headline and Cabrio
EG fungicides are the first in a series of new fungicides that
BASF will introduce over the next several years. These new products
contain the active ingredient F
500 fungicide. This world-class technology from BASF's
Agricultural Products
research acts on all major classes of fungal pathogens that cause
foliar diseases that threaten quality and yield in numerous crops.
In fact, Headline and Cabrio recently received registration from
the Environmental Protection Agency for use on more than 49 diseases
in over 100 crops in North America.
Headline and Cabrio EG will set the standard
for disease control in a variety of crops, providing broader spectrum,
more effective disease control than any other fungicide on the market.
According to Jerry Minore, BASF manager of market strategy for fungicides,
"Headline and Cabrio raise the performance bar for disease
control in numerous crops. They offer superior disease control that
protects yields and quality, and at rates that are economical. At
the same time, their crop and environmental safety are excellent."
In North America, Headline and Cabrio complement
BASF's existing portfolio in a number of crops and will be the basis
for the introduction of future BASF products for the farming industry.
F 500, the active ingredient in Headline and
Cabrio, is registered in numerous countries under a variety of brand
names. Due to its broad-spectrum activity across a wide range of
globally important crops, F 500 is expected to become a true universal
fungicide.
