BASF Corporation makes donations to non-profit organizations
in the United States in line with its commitment to
sustainable development. We strategically focus our
donations in areas that leverage our expertise in science.
We strive to maximize the impact of our investment through
cash, product, and in-kind donations but also the talents
of employee volunteers.
Donations Policy
Donations will be made only to eligible non-profit organizations
for which a tax deduction is allowable under the U.S.
Internal Revenue Code.No donations will be made under
this policy (including, but not limited to):
- Partisan political organizations
- Sectarian organizations whose services are limited
to members of any one religious group
- Fraternal or veterans organizations
- Individuals in support of a project for personal
profit
- Organizations or persons soliciting by telephone
only.
Supporting Documentation Supporting documentation
must be in the form of a written request from the prospective
donee that includes:
- Name and address of the organization
- Reason for the requested donation, including program
rationale and objectives
- Amount of the requested donation
- Verification of tax exemption status
- Program outcome measurements (if available)
