BASF’s 42 Volt Technology

BASF Performance Polymers
The right material for your 42 Volt application

Electrical power demand in automobiles has been on the increase, and is predicted to increase dramatically in the coming years. As electrical loads increase, they will soon exceed the capability of the current 14 volt electrical system. Therefore it is expected that 42 Volt Technology will replace the current 14 volt system. By utilizing 42 Volt technology, we can expect to see radical new features in tomorrow's automobile

BASF Corporation is working closely with it’s customers and with industry organizations to provide the safest and most cost effective plastics for the 42-volt market.
