Ultrason PES and PSU kettleBASF provides you with a secure and stable supply for your high temperature resin needs globally, with our recent capacity expansion, our favorable raw material position and the fact that we are backward integrated to the necessary monomers.

Our line of Ultrason® PES and PSU grades are transparent, high temperature amorphous thermoplastics derived from polyethersulfone and polysulfone. This product line is used in high-load engineering parts that have to display great dimensional stability and good mechanical properties over a range of temperature from -58°F to 428°F.

Ultrason PES and PSU are engineered for use in a variety of demanding applications in market sectors like automotive, membranes, food service and plumbing.

A broad range of typical applications include:

· headlight reflectors · dairy membranes
· sensors · food trays
· water purification membranes · manifolds
· reverse osmosis membranes  

Ultrason S Polysulfone (PSU) can be used when high transparency is necessary at the lowest level of intrinsic color and steam sterilization and steam/water contact is required.

Ultrason E Polyethersulfone (PES) can be used when your application needs to meet high temperature requirements up to 428°F and higher mechanical properties like strength and stiffness for parts that will be exposed to solvents and chemicals, like fuels, fats and oils.
