Construction Chemicals
BASF Construction Chemicals is committed to providing quality products and systems designed to exceed the needs of construction professionals throughout North America. Its research and development centres and network of strategically located manufacturing and distribution facilities support Business Lines that focus on specific market segments and customer groups. Working in concert, this team ensures that BASF's know-how and technology are available locally, where customers need them.

Polyurethanes
Walltite ECO™ Spray-Applied Polyurethane Foams for thermal insulation including roofing, insulating air barrier for industrial/commercial/institutional and residential applications, ENERTITE® air barrier continuity components and rigid foam systems used to produce doors and panels.

Urethane Chemicals are used to produce coatings, adhesives and sealants for the construction industry, and as binders in the wood market, for example, to produce oriented strand boards (OSBs) and other engineered wood products. Rigid foam applications from these materials are used for thermal insulation, such as structural insulation panels, pipe insulation or in roofing.

Styrenics
Styropor® EPS is valued above all else for its outstanding thermal insulation properties and, when compared to other rigid insulation materials, it provides the highest cost-efficiency per inch of thermal insulation. EPS foam insulation can be produced to provide a wide range of performance properties.

Petrochemicals
Our Plasticizers are used in roofing membranes, swimming pool liners, construction sheeting, wiring, vinyl wall coverings, and floor coverings.

Dispersions & Pigments
From roof to basement, our Acronal® product line, whether as dispersions or powders, delivers solutions for a multitude of applications: as primers, adhesives for floor coverings, levelling agents, in screeds, as modifiers to mortars, as waterproofing seals and in waterproofing membranes.

Chemical Intermediates & Inorganics
Our products enhance the properties of urethane foam insulation and paints.

Performance Polymers
BASF's Engineering Plastics offer a variety of benefits in building and construction that vary according to the needs of the application: versatility, dimensional stability, abrasion resistance during and after construction installation, opportunities for parts consolidation, noise-vibration-harshness dampening, and energy efficiency.

Plastic Additives
BASF offers tailored solutions for your needs in plastic building products using innovative colours and additives in end uses such as roofing, geomembranes, architectural glazing, windows and doors profiles, siding, pipes and conduits, flooring, decking and fencing, geosynthetics, foam insulation, decorative foils and public seating including stadium seats.

Formulation Technologies
In addition to our broad portfolio of existing products, BASF can develop tailor-made products for customer-specific requirements, including in the range of methylpolyethylene glycols or acrylates. As well as our building blocks for polycarboxylate ethers we offer other additives for concrete admixtures for use as shrinkage reducers, air entraining agents, defoamers and corrosion inhibitors.
