Amination of Alcohols

The respective alcohols (also diols) are reacted with ammonia, primary or secondary amines, in the gas or liquid phases (see diagram below). BASF's technology and proprietary catalyst systems allow operating conditions with high pressures (up to 300 bar) and increased temperatures.
